Dhanbad: On the occasion of the centenary year of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), preparations are underway to run a large-scale shakha campaign in Dhanbad Mahanagar. The Sangh has planned to set up shakhas in all neighborhoods, colonies, villages, and blocks from September 27 to October 4, 2026.
According to the Sangh, shakhas will be held regularly at maximum locations during this campaign. Preparations at the local level have been completed for this, and various responsibilities are being assigned to the workers.
Target to set up 500 shakhas in Dhanbad
Raja Khandelwal, publicity department head of RSS Dhanbad Mahanagar, said that shakhas are the base of Sangh activities for swayamsevaks. He urged the swayamsevaks to regularly attend the shakhas.
The Sangh stated that a plan has been prepared to set up shakhas in all neighborhoods of 13 nagars, 55 wards, and 106 colonies under Dhanbad Mahanagar. Under this campaign, a target of setting up about 500 shakhas has been fixed.
It has been stated that about 2000 workers will be given responsibilities for this campaign.
Emphasis on connecting children, youth, and elderly
According to the Sangh, efforts will be made to connect children, youth, and elderly through activities like sports, songs, and exercises in the shakhas.
Raja Khandelwal said that through shakha activities, efforts are made to develop a sense of love for the country and nation and social responsibility among the people.
The Sangh has also urged the people of Dhanbad to participate along with children in the shakhas organized in their neighborhoods.
Campaign reaches the final phase of the centenary year
According to the Sangh, the centenary celebrations, which began on the occasion of Vijayadashami last year, have now reached their final phase. During this period, programs like Vijayadashami Utsav in full uniform, path sanchalan, social harmony conferences, intellectual seminars, Hindu conferences, and interactions with youth were organized at various places.
Now, in the final phase of the centenary year, plans have been made to set up shakhas at maximum places across the country. Preparations are underway to run a comprehensive campaign in Dhanbad Mahanagar in the same sequence.
Appeal to step forward and work if no responsibility is received
The Sangh has asked swayamsevaks who have not yet received any specific responsibility to step forward and determine their role in the campaign.
Along with this, emphasis has been laid on contacting people in the neighborhoods and colonies where shakhas are to be set up and inviting them to join the shakha.
Dhanbad Mahanagar Karyavah Rakesh Ji said that during the campaign, efforts should be made that no neighborhood, village, or block is deprived of a shakha. He informed that about 2000 workers of Dhanbad Mahanagar have mobilized for this campaign.
