When those friends met again after 40 years, it felt like their entire childhood had returned. The initiative was taken by social worker Reva Goursaria. After completing her studies, fate brought her back to Raniganj as a married home. Amidst household chores, responsibilities, and the hustle and bustle of life, no one knew how 40 years passed. But in some corner of the heart, those uniformed friends were still alive. One day, while scrolling through Facebook, a thought came to mind - why not search for those friends? And that was it; every single name was recalled, and searches began on Facebook. In someone's profile, a childhood-like smile was seen, and someone's eyes were recognized. Slowly, one, two, three... the broken garland began to connect again. Reva sent a message to everyone - 'Come to my house for two days, let's go back to that same childhood.' And then that day arrived. When all of them met at a house in Raniganj after 40 years, there was silence for a moment, followed by tears and loud laughter. Someone was embracing, while another was holding hands and crying. 'You haven't changed at all', 'Remember how madam used to scold' - the conversations just wouldn't end. The most emotional moment came when everyone went together to meet their elderly school teacher. When the teacher saw these 50-55 year old students, her eyes also welled up with tears. She called out each one by name. Reva says the peace she found in these two days was not found in the last 40 years. It felt like life was starting all over again.
