BJP worker murdered inside his home in English Bazar

Malda: BJP worker Samir Ghosh was murdered in the Ramkeli area under English Bazar police station of the district on the night of Dashami. Two rounds of firing were also carried out to ensure his death. Police are investigating the motive behind the murder. A suspected person has been arrested and is being interrogated. People of the area were busy with idol immersion when several people entered Samir's house. Before anyone could understand anything, he was attacked with sharp weapons. The killers also fired two bullets at Samir. The deceased's brother alleged that Samir had been receiving threats for a long time due to joining the BJP. He did not step out of the house out of fear. This incident happened on the day of Dashami because the area was deserted. Samir was alone at home at the time of the incident. The killers took advantage of that opportunity, entered the house, and executed the crime. It is alleged that all the accused are Trinamool supporters. However, Trinamool leaders have completely denied this incident. They claim instead that the BJP is behind this. This will come to light once an impartial investigation is conducted.
