Dhanbad: A Maharani bus traveling from Gaya to Kolkata met with an accident near Jora Pipal on the GT Road under the Barwaadda police station area early Saturday. After climbing the divider, the bus overturned, injuring more than a dozen passengers on board.
The condition of about a dozen injured passengers is stated to be serious. All the injured have been sent to the hospital for treatment.
Accident occurred at 2:30 AM
According to eyewitnesses and police, the accident took place around 2:30 AM on Saturday. The bus carrying passengers from Gaya to Kolkata suddenly lost control near Jora Pipal and climbed onto the divider. Afterward, the bus overturned on the road.
Chaos ensued among the passengers aboard the bus after the accident. Due to the overturning, many passengers got trapped inside. Hearing the cries for help at the scene after the accident, local residents rushed to assist.
