CBI raids CCL Saunda D Colliery, office superintendent arrested taking bribe

Ramgarh: In a major anti-corruption action, the CBI conducted a raid at the Saunda D Colliery of CCL Barka-Sayal area. The CBI team arrested Abhay Kumar Bakshi, office superintendent posted at the PO (Project Officer) office, on charges of taking a bribe. This action has created a sensation in the colliery area.

According to reports, the CBI team acted under a pre-planned strategy and arrested Abhay Kumar Bakshi red-handed with the bribe amount. He is accused of demanding a bribe in exchange for work.

Following the arrest, CBI officials took the accused with them and interrogated him to examine facts related to the case. Reports suggest that the accused was also kept at the CCL guest house for questioning after the raid. The team is trying to ascertain whether any other officer or employee has a role in this episode.

After this action, there is widespread discussion among employees in the concerned CCL office and colliery area. Currently, official confirmation regarding the exact bribe amount and other facts is awaited. An official statement from the investigating agency is yet to be released.
