Dhanbad: Taking strict action against cybercrime, Dhanbad Police has detained six suspects and started interrogation. According to sources, four of them are residents of Tundi in Dhanbad district, one from Koderma, and one from Deoghar. All of them are being interrogated at a police station in the Nirsa police subdivision area. Given the seriousness of the case, City SP Rithvik Srivastava also reached the concerned police station late at night and took stock of the investigation. Nirsa SDPO Leileshwar Mahto, officials of Cyber Police Station Dhanbad, and other police officers are involved in the probe. According to sources, mobile phones, electronic devices, cash, and other items have been seized from the suspects, though the police have not officially confirmed this. FIRs are likely to be registered in other police stations of the district besides the Nirsa subdivision. Notably, a few days ago, 11 accused were arrested and sent to judicial custody in another cybercrime case in the Nirsa area. During that operation, lakhs of rupees in cash and several mobile phones were reportedly recovered. Currently, the role of the six new suspects and whether this case has any connection with the previously arrested accused will only become clear after the investigation is completed and an official police statement is released.
