DHANBAD: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has significantly accelerated its investigation into the alleged coal trade scam in Dhanbad. In this high-profile case, Madhav Singh alias Pradeep Singh, Pappu Mandal, Ganesh Yadav, and Rohit Yadav have come under the scanner, with full preparations underway to tighten the noose around them. According to available information, the central investigative agency had issued summons to these four individuals consecutively three times for questioning, but they failed to appear at the agency's office at the appointed time. Since then, the ED has been actively searching for them.

The investigative agency strongly suspects that all these individuals may be deeply connected to the legal and allegedly illegal coal business. However, their actual role and the veracity of the charges will only be officially clarified after the detailed investigation is complete, as the issuance of a summons or being called for questioning does not in itself prove any crime.

During the second phase of the investigation into this much-discussed coal scam, the ED had conducted raids at several locations associated with coal trader LB Singh and other major businessmen. Strong information had emerged that premises belonging to Madhav Singh, Pappu Mandal, Ganesh Yadav, and Rohit Yadav were also raided during this search operation. The scope of the investigation is being continuously expanded based on important documents and other potential evidence recovered during these raids. The agency is deeply examining the financial transactions related to the alleged coal trade and the personal and professional roles of those involved.

According to sources, it was only after marathon questioning of coal trader LB Singh and his family members that the ED formally issued summons to these four people, instructing them to present their stance and cooperate with the investigation. Despite this, it has come to light that they failed to appear at the stipulated time. Even after being summoned three times, none of them have appeared for questioning or submitted any application seeking more time, although final official confirmation from the ED and the response from the concerned individuals are still awaited.
