Steel City Durgapur's Marginal Club Puja Pandal Depicts 'Floating Nepal in Eyes'

Durgapur: Durga Puja organizing committees in the steel city of Durgapur have always been the center of attraction due to their unique themes. Lakhs of devotees come to witness these theme-based Durga idols and praise the organizers. Marginal Club in Durgapur's DPL Township has chosen 'Floating Nepal in Eyes' as its puja theme. A few months ago, Nepal suffered a massive flood disaster. A glacier burst caused a massive torrent in the river. Civilizations drowned in the floods. Large buildings and bridges washed away like toys. From locals to tourists, over a thousand people lost their lives. Many people are still missing. Family members are still waiting for their return. Many people from Bengal are on this list. In its 17th year of celebration, the club is sending a message of solidarity with Nepal alongside the puja. They have also kept a surprise in the idol. Every corner of the pandal features photographs of the lives of people devastated by the disaster in Nepal. It is decorated with real cars, utensils, showcases, cylinders, and many other items. This is not the first time; Marginal Club has previously presented several disasters as themes. The idol depicts the form of the Mother Goddess.
