Nephew Murdered Over Land Dispute in Barwadda, Dhanbad

Dhanbad: In Ghasakodih under the Barwadda police station area, 32-year-old Daulat Ram Mahato was murdered on Monday in a land dispute. The allegations have been leveled against his uncles Suryakant Mahato alias Binod and Triveni Mahato. There is heavy tension in the village. Villagers have withheld the body until the arrest of the accused. Upon receiving information about the incident, police officials of Barwadda police station reached the spot. The police are trying to pacify the villagers and control the situation. Currently, the police investigation findings regarding the causes of the incident and the role of the accused are yet to come out. The deceased's brother, Sundarlal Mahato, has accused his uncles Suryakant Mahato alias Binod, Triveni Mahato, and others of involvement in the murder. According to the family members, a dispute over land had been ongoing. During this dispute on Monday, Daulat Ram Mahato was attacked with a sharp weapon, resulting in his death.
