Led by Food Safety Officer Dr. Raja Kumar under the instructions of Civil Surgeon Dr. Alok Vishwakarma, the team collected samples of paneer, ghee, and khoya from various shops, which have been sent to the State Food Laboratory in Ranchi for chemical testing.
During the operation, when the team visited Gautam Dairy located at Steel Gate, the operator fled, leaving the shop behind. Upon inspection, the establishment's FSSAI license was found to be expired. Authorities seized 48 kg of suspected paneer, 2 kg of ghee, and khoya from the shop, and immediately sealed the establishment.
Additionally, 10 kg of suspected paneer was seized from Rakesh Dairy near the Police Line. Samples of paneer, ghee, and khoya sweets were also collected from Roof 709 in Saraidhela, Nirmal Sweets, Ramesh Dairy, and Ganga Dairy in Bartand.
The district administration has clarified that this inspection drive will continue to ensure the supply of pure, clean, and safe food items to the public. Strict legal action will be taken against those operating food businesses without valid licenses or found indulging in food adulteration.
