Police Encounter With Jamui Case Prime Accused, Shot While Fleeing; FIR Against 120 Social Media Handles

Patna: Nandan, the prime accused in the Jamui incident, was shot in the leg by police. Following the incident, he was admitted to Sadar Hospital for treatment. Another accused, Hare Ram Yadav, sustained a broken leg. Meanwhile, police took major action against those viralizing the Jamui incident video. An FIR was registered against 120 social media profiles at the Jamui Cyber Police Station. The police have registered the case under BNS sections and the POCSO Act. Videos were also removed from 132 social media accounts to protect the identity of the minor victim.
