Dhanbad: A serious case has come to light where landowners were called for talks at the sewage plant being constructed near the Katri river in Katras Rampur Kanchanpur Panchayat and were allegedly assaulted and seriously injured. Affected landowners Ricky Sarkar and associate Guddu Rajak have submitted a written complaint to the Katras police, leveling several serious allegations against the company officials. The company officials have resorted to dictatorship. The landowners are only demanding compensation, but their land is being used without paying it. Expressing outrage, MLA representative Sonu Srivastava and Zila Parishad member representative Jitesh Rajwar, who came in support of the landowners, said that this attitude of the company is wrong. Calling people to talks and assaulting them will not be tolerated at all. If injustice is done to the landowners, the company will face severe consequences. Former Panchayat Samiti member Sheikh Riyazuddin said that the entire sequence of events is not justified. We are all with the villagers. Company officials have also filed a complaint at the police station, leveling allegations of assault.
